Description
Ultralight bosons, such as axions, can form clouds around rotating black holes through superradiance and emit continuous gravitational waves. Accurate predictions of the signal frequency are essential for continuous wave searches. In this work, we compute frequency shifts induced by the gravitational self-interaction and self-gravity of axion clouds using a recently developed perturbative framework based on bilinear inner products in black hole perturbation theory. I will present these results and discuss their implications for probing axions with continuous gravitational wave observations.
