We are pleased to announce that the International Summer School: Global Vision, Future Leaders will be held at Beijing, China, from 23 August to 6 September, 2026. This summer school is designed to provide an intensive, interdisciplinary training experience on frontiers from Quanta to Cosmos Physics, which is open to international students with at least a Bachelor’s degree (current master’s and PhD students are strongly encouraged to apply). All participants of the school are eligible to attend the 2nd New Horizons for Psi Workshop free of registration fees. Participants with outstanding performance may be offerd opportunities for further study or research visits in the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS). UCAS offers generous scholarships, including the UCAS Scholarship (PhD: ≥3,500 RMB/month, Master: ≥3,000 RMB/month) and the ANSO Scholarship (PhD: ≥6,000 RMB/month), which fully cover tuition, living expenses, insurance, and accommodation. International students are welcome to submit their applications through the official online system: https://is.ucas.ac.cn/. For more details, please visit: https://admission.ucas.ac.cn/
The program integrates four complementary components:
-
Frontier Lectures – Delivered by leading international scholars, covering recent advances and key open questions in gravitational wave physics, the early universe, quantum gravity, dark matter, and dark energy.
-
Thematic Workshops & Student Sessions – Small-group, in-depth discussions that encourage interactive engagement between students and faculty. A dedicated student academic report session gives young researchers the opportunity to present their own work, receive constructive feedback, and foster meaningful intellectual exchange.
-
Research Practice & Lab Visits – A guided tour of the ground support system, science application system, and experimental center for the “Taiji-1” satellite – the pathfinder mission of the space-based gravitational wave observatory “Taiji Program.” This hands-on visit aims to inspire curiosity and deepen understanding of large-scale scientific infrastructure.
- Cross-Cultural Activities – Cross-cultural exchange events to foster dialogue among students from diverse backgrounds, creating an inclusive and open academic environment. These activities are intended to lay the groundwork for future international cooperation and talent development.
Registration Fee: Free
